THE WEATHER

Considering we are so close to the sea, we actually experience relitavely calm and stable conditions here at the lake. In South Landes, there is often high pressure, meaning cool nights and hot days with a powerful sun. It can be hot even in February,and any later in the year training hard in the aftrenoon should be avoided, as it can get too hot. Freezing temperatures at night are not unusual in the winter and spring, even when its sunny in the daytime. If at all windy, it will be in the afternoon.

Of course, we cannot guarentee the weather, and it can change suddenly in more unstable periods. However what we call bad weather is better than most. Southern France doesnt really experience a horrible winter, and its bad periods would be a pleasant welcome in England or Germany!
